KOCHI OKADA - JEWELLERY DESIGN

Pearl collection

This collection is inspired by the versatility of pearls design, driven by technological advances in growing them,
which allows me as a jeweller to play with different shapes, sizes and colours of pearls.
Shaking up of the pearl image as a preconception of something predictable and conventional,
my designs pursue pearls as an image of understated luxury , radiating elegance and bringing for its happy bearer the feeling of being deeply relaxed.
Although my necklaces are not like the simple row of pearls which your grandmother used to wear and willingly lent to you to wear on special occasions,
nevertheless all the little treasures within my pearl collection will be still a pleasure to pass down the generations in your family.

Handmade fittings in silver castings, vermeil 18ct.

Pearl earrings, black spinel set in 18ct gold. Length 45mm.

Tahitian pearl necklace, silver & Tahitian Pearl earrings

Large drop shaped tahitian pearl necklace (12,5/17,5 mm)

set with handmade clasp. The clasp was hand made in the oval shaped

Tahitian pearl and decorated with natural coloured diamonds (1mm).Length 44cm

Perfect huge pair of drop shaped pearl earrings.

Top part baroque shaped (14,5 mm)
the bottom drops (21,5mm) The length 43mm.

Pearl necklace, gold, ruby, agate

This necklace was inspired by Salvador Dali surrealist theme of a crying eye.
Unusual large freeform pearl necklace set in 18ct yellow gold fittings
with huge agate eye with ruby tear.
Pearl necklace silver, goldplated

Massive rows of various sizes and shapes of white pearl strings
skilfully knotted in this necklace inspired by Coco Channel creations.
The clasp is handmade, solid silver plated with 18 ct gold.
The clasp is pave set stones in the camouflage pattern
with garnet of three colours. The original was sold
but a version of this gorgeous necklace can be requested as a commission

Necklace with gold 18ct handmade pendant in the shape of the coral branch,
on the top of the flat peach coloured freshwater pearl (45mm).
Chain with tiny light pink pearls (3mm)and bright emerald beads(1,8mm).
Chain could be worn separately from the pendant. Length 45cm.

Freshwater pearl bracelet with chains (18ct)
with pastel pink pearls interwoven into chains
(10mm, 6,5mm, 3mm).
